Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Vice President of Finance to join our leadership team at a manufacturing company in Fresno, California. This role is pivotal in driving financial strategy, overseeing fiscal operations, and ensuring compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of manufacturing finance to support the company's growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Provide guidance to the executive team on budgeting, capital allocation, and investment opportunities.
- Analyze manufacturing performance, oversee cost management, and monitor inventory controls to drive operational efficiency.
- Lead the preparation of accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable / receivable, and tax compliance.
- Supervise risk management processes, including insurance coverage and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to support business goals.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, including production and supply chain, to align financial planning with operational needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement upgrades to financial systems and internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing finance.
- Strong expertise in plant accounting, cost center management, and inventory control processes.
- Proficiency with financial management software and advanced knowledge of budgeting and forecasting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic financial initiatives and foster cross-departmental collaboration.
- Proven track record in risk management, cost control, and financial process optimization.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing business needs.
