Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Remote ProFee Surgical Pathology Coder, offering the flexibility to work from home while supporting a leading healthcare institution.

Job Details

Employment Type : Remote Healthcare Position
Duration : 24 weeks
Start Date : August 18, 2025
End Date : January 31, 2026
Shift : 8-hour days, Monday to Friday
Weekly Hours : 40 hours
Estimated Weekly Salary : $1350 - $4500

Job Requirements

Experience with EPIC and Cerner systems

Medicare expertise, including "Medicare Unlikely Edits"

Proficiency in Surgical Pathology Coding

Skilled in ICD-10 coding for pathology

Ability to abstract surgical path codes from pathology reports

Understanding of modifiers and bundling relationships

Responsibilities

Review reports in Cerner and apply accurate procedure codes, modifiers, and diagnosis codes in Epic

Maintain productivity of 8-10 charges per hour

Prioritize oldest dates of service

Send provider queries to the manager for review

Analyze pathology reports, abstract CPT and diagnosis codes, and apply appropriate modifiers
