Key Responsibilities - Controller
Financial Strategy & Oversight
Lead and maintain the company's financial systems, reporting, and controls.Develop, implement, and enforce internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.Create and manage operational reporting, budgeting, and cash flow forecasts.Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth.Accounting & Compliance
Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal corporate policies.Coordinate with external CPA firms for audits and annual tax return preparation.Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise and develop a small team of accounting staff.Act as a strategic financial advisor to senior leadership and department heads.Support and enhance ERP and HRIS systems (SAP Business ByDesign experience is a plus).Facilitate communication across departments to ensure aligned financial planning.Process Improvement & Controls
Evaluate current accounting procedures and implement enhancements.Develop KPIs to measure and report on performance across departments.Monitor intercompany transactions, cost allocations, and incentive programs.Qualifications - What They're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree or CPA preferred7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accountingExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; ERP system experience required (SAP a plus)Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsStrong analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approachPhysical & Environmental Requirements
