About The Position

• Medical Solutions Clinical Team will pre-screen all candidates. Managers will do 2nd interview
• All nurses going to below units will be required to complete 15 minute proctored exam to assess basic EKG competency during orientation at the hospital. - Unit : ICU - # beds : 8 beds - Certs : ACLS, BLS, PALS - Ratios : 1 : 1-2- EMR : Cerner - Charge Nurse : Yes on day shifts but they do not take a patient assignment, night shift has shift leader - Nurse Aides : No - Weekend Requirement : every other - Holidays : they will rotate them in with perm staff - Scrub Color : navy - Tele / Monitor Techs : phillips - they do have a monitor tech but nurses have to read and interpret strips - Drips : yes - Vents : yes - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : on call after hours - IV Team : No - RT 24 / 7 : yes - Pharmacy 24 / 7 : No - they are on call after hours, they are on 8 hr shifts - Shifts : 12 hr shifts, 7-7- Floating : yes to tele or to Marian to work ICU, they could also float to the ER, they will have to take a patient assignment but they will orient - Floor specific orientation : 1 shift - Common diagnosis / Types of patients : sepsis, general medical ICU, respiratory failure, CHF, alcohol withdrawal- Additional Notes : must have 2 years of ICU experience, travel experience is preferred Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 Charting BSN License to Trauma Level : Care Shift , EOW first to float Required , BLS, PALS Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Weeks : 91
