General Foreman / Superintendent

General Contractor in Newport News, VA is seeking a General Foreman who is committed to performing and maintaining the quality work standards established by Hampton Roads Contracting, Inc.

Description and Responsibilities : Reporting to Company Officers, the General Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities on-site to ensure that all projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with the required specifications. The General Foreman will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and labor crews to maintain efficient workflows and high standards of quality. This role oversees In-house crews performing various types of work, including :

• Concrete work (walls, slabs, and footers) and concrete construction.
• Trenching and excavation work for the installation of civil structures, concrete construction, utility installation, and other general construction.
• Heavy equipment operation for excavation, material handling, and site grading to include excavators and other earth moving equipment, rollers, compactors, arial equipment, forklifts, cranes, and heavy trucks.
• Steel construction, demolition, and modification, including hot work.
