The Technical Editor implements and maintains editorial policies, standards, and styles for the program.

Essential Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
• Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
• Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation.
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proven ability to edit cogent yet persuasive scientific reports.
• Exceptional organization skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.

Physical Demands

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer and / or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and / or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $40 to $45 per hour, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
