Join us in the exciting opening of Abilene's FIRST full-service hotel, DoubleTree Abilene Downtown Convention Center! We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor at this stunning property!

DoubleTree Abilene Downtown Convention Center recently just opened Summer of 2023. The new DoubleTree by Hilton will bring 200 guest rooms, 17,000 sq ft of meeting space, a 3-Meal Restaurant, Lounge / Bar, and much more!

We are conveniently located across the street from the convention center in downtown Abilene, among restaurants and businesses. The Adamson-Spaulding Storybook Garden is a block away, and the Grace and Frontier Texas museums are within a mile. Abilene Zoo is only four miles from our front door and we're just a 10-minute drive from the regional airport. We offer a pool and fitness center.

The ideal candidate has full availability, a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisor or housekeeping role, has a passion for the hospitality industry and guests and is ready to dive in and assist the team in anything that comes their way.

What will you be doing?

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you would be responsible for leading, training and supervising Room Attendants and Housepersons in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :

• Lead, train and supervise Room Attendants and Housepersons on a floor or designated area to ensure all rooms and public areas meet established cleanliness and quality standards.
• Assess inventory of, assign for cleaning and inspect rooms.
• Verify and report status and / or discrepancies of rooms.
• Monitor payroll reports, work schedules, lost and found program, stock rooms and carts and designated inventories.
• Communicate and coordinate with Engineering / Property Operations to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms and public areas.
• Perform Room Attendant and / or Houseperson duties, as needed.
• Assist in performance evaluations of Room Attendants and Housepersons, as needed.
• Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
