Account Executive – Home Health

Location : Indian River / St. Lucie Counties, FL

Compensation : Base Salary + Commission (Salary level impacts quota and commission start timeline)

Schedule : Monday–Friday

Travel : Local travel within Indian River / St. Lucie Counties required

Overview :

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Account Executive to lead business development efforts for our home health services. The ideal candidate has a strong Medicare home health book of business or, at minimum, well-established referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other key partners. This role requires a strategic sales approach, consistent networking, and the ability to maintain a referral mix of at least 60% Medicare.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, discharge planners, and other referral sources to drive new patient referrals.

Maintain a minimum of 60% Medicare-based referrals, with the remaining 40% from other sources (private duty referrals, community partners, etc.).

Create and execute a targeted marketing plan to achieve and exceed referral goals.

Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, and networking events to expand the referral base.

Serve as the main liaison between referral sources and the agency, providing timely updates and ensuring smooth patient transitions.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the community.

Collaborate with internal leadership to align sales efforts with agency growth strategies.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales, preferably within home health or healthcare-related industries.

Existing network of referral sources, ideally with Medicare experience.

Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and referral processes.

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current insurance.

Compensation Structure :

Base salary + commission.

Lower base salary options carry reduced quotas, allowing earlier commission eligibility.

Commission potential is tied directly to meeting and exceeding referral targets.

Hiring Process :

2–3 interview stages with agency leadership.
