Travel contract - technologist

Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and / or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.Analyzes images and identifies issues with the quality of images. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure if clinically appropriate.ACCOUNTABILITY, ACCURACY & QUALITY, ADMINISTRATION OF CONTRAST MEDIA, CUSTOMER SERVICE, IMAGE PRODUCTION, ANALYSIS AND ARCHIVAL, PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE, PATIENT ASSESSMENT AND CARE, PATIENT POSITIONING AND PROCEDURES, RADIATION PROTECTION, RESPONDING TO CHANGE, STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR

Complexity of Work : Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Required Work Experience : No prior work experience required.Other Information :

• Must possess an active Radiography Certificate from the State of Florida and must take the ARRT(R) examination.If hired to support Women Imaging : @@Candidate must obtain (M) Certification within 1 year. Upon successful completion of the certification, a 2-year contract will commence.@@Candidate must be flexible to travel to all MHS Women's Imaging Centers.
