Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Extensive proficiency in Revit and the Adobe Creative Suite. Superb comprehension of architectural principles, building codes, zoning research, and life safety code research. Ability to execute Construction Documents with basic oversight from the Director of Architecture. Ability to coordinate with engineering consultants and present yourself professionally to clients. Previous Construction Administration experience. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budgets. Internal time management skills while executing multiple projects. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and exhibit past examples of taking initiatives to push the project forward. Licensed Architect in the State of Louisiana highly preferred Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools. Experience in Enscape for Revit is a strong plus. Experience in Architectural Specification writing Experience with Cost Estimating and RS Means. Experience in Public Work and Advertisement process Extensive expertise in architectural design software, including Revit. Experience with building information modeling (BIM) and collaborative project management tools such as BIM 360. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. Experience in Microsoft Excel is a plus. Creative thinker with a passion for design and architecture. Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships with clients and team members. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of work. A collaborative spirit, thriving in a team-oriented environment while also being proactive and self-motivated. Stay abreast of industry trends, materials, and technologies to innovate and enhance design practices continually. Linfield, Hunter & Junius, Inc. (LH&J) has a long tradition of providing private, municipal, state and federal clients with a diverse range of Engineering, Architecture and Surveying services. The tradition began in 1957 with the establishment of R.P. Linfield, Civil Engineer. Linfield, Hunter & Junius, Inc. was incorporated in 1982. We are a mid-sized consulting firm with the unique ability to perform engineering, architecture and surveying with our in-house full time personnel. This arrangement provides quality services in a seamless, timely and efficient manner.
Each discipline within LH&J is led by a qualified firm principal with extensive experience and qualifications in the areas they oversee. Services are provided routinely throughout the Southern United States, but they have also been extended to other parts of the United States and Latin America.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated Architect or experienced Architectural Designer to join our interdisciplinary design team. In this role, you will leverage your architectural expertise to conceptualize and execute design solutions that meet our clients' needs while pushing the boundaries of creativity and functionality. Architectural License highly preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from concept through completion, ensuring creative and practical solutions align with project goals and client vision.
- Develop detailed architectural plans, digital models, and presentations that effectively communicate design intent and concepts while adhering to the project parameters and budget.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to achieve design excellence and project delivery.
- Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with zoning and regulatory requirements.
- Complete, assist, and / or lead comprehensive Code Review and Life Safety Analysis.
- Internal time management skills and adhering to the budgeted hours of the project delivery.
