We are currently seeking a committed Bilingual Instructional Assistant III to join the Lee Elementary team. This is a full-time (6.5 hrs per day) temporary position . Bilingualism in English and Spanish is for this position as are 72 college level credits or successful completion of a paraprofessional certification.

Minimum Requirements

• Associates degree or a minimum of 72 college / university quarter credits (Required)
• Certification as a highly qualified paraprofessional may be substituted for the education requirement
• Possess or be willing to obtain First Aid / CPR certification
• Minimum of one year of experience working with children or youth in an educational childcare or community setting (Preferred)
• Experience in interpretation and / or translation in an educational or professional setting
• Fluency in English and Spanish as demonstrated by completion of the districts bilingual assessment. To be considered fluent applicants must receive a minimum score of Level 6 on the ACTFL verbal assessment and a minimum score of 18 on the districts written assessment.
