Auto Body Repair Technician

Suburban Transportation is seeking an experienced Auto Body Repair Technician to repair and refurbish fleet vehicles.
Candidate must have previous experience with auto body repair and painting. We are looking for someone who is energetic and reliable that has a diverse set of skills.
Experience working with vans, buses, box trucks, or RV’s a huge plus. The majority of work is on full-size vans, and cutaway mini buses.
- This is NOT a collision / car shop.
Must be a team player!
Hours are 8am-4 : 30pm Monday-Friday.
PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE, and hard work is recognized.

What You’ll Do
Fleet Auto Body Technician Job Summary :Position requires Technician with strong knowledge in auto-body and various mechanical fabrication skills to refurbish vans, mini buses, and other vehicles and equipment.Responsibilities :Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.Repairs aluminum and fiberglass bodiesFiles, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.Bolts or welds replacement parts in position using wrenches or welding equipment.Paints surfaces after performing body repairs and order replacement parts, panels, and supplies.Follows established organizational safety procedures and DOT regulations. Maintains a neat work area.Uses hand and power tools to remove or repair damaged parts, weld as needed, and properly install new parts.Performs collision repair and replacement work on all fleet vehicles as assigned by Management.Performs repair work on vehicle bodies (replacing front-end components, body components, doors, frame under body components; hammering out dents, buckles, and other defects using blocks and hammers; filing, grinding, and sandingRemoves damaged parts using wrenches and cutting torch and fabricates replacement parts using hand and power tools.Repairs body surfaces; filling holes, dents, and seams; removing damaged fenders, panels, and grills; welding replacement parts in place.Prepared under bodies and applies undercoating and other rust prevention mitigation solutions..Other duties as assigned.What We’re Looking For :
