Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Director of Operations. The Director of Operations oversees day-to-day operations of janitorial services for a specific business division. This senior level position is responsible for the development and implementation of a variety of strategies to maximize profits, while maintaining a high level of service quality within their division. Through continual evaluation and improvement, the Director of Operations positively impacts key performance indicators such as operational cost, service quality, and team development. This position provides oversight and leadership to team members and follows up on staff assignments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day to day operation through a team of top performers
- Manages the P&L for their operations
- Hold executive responsibility for all vertical operations, employee management, finances, and people related functions, sales growth, startups, account management, legal, and other operating elements of the business
- Responsible for client relations and retention
- Manage and build performance teams, providing coaching, development and mentoring to a team of managers
- Develop and hold the team accountable to managing key performance indicators
- Stay current in business vertical and identify opportunities for company growth opportunities
- Provide timely feedback and guidance for team members on operational issues and concerns
Qualifications (Must Have)
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of five (5) years of management experience in janitorial industryBusiness level oral and written communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write fluently in EnglishAbility to multitask and adapt to changing environmentsExcellent customer service skills; active listening skillsAbility to lead and encourage teamwork; ability to negotiate and resolve conflictAbility to work in a team environment and demonstrate sound judgmentAble to think independentlyAbility to analyze and deliver effective solutionsExcellent organizational skills to include astute prioritization skillsProficient computer skills to include Microsoft and Google productsPreferred Qualifications (Nice To Have)
Bachelor's degree or higher in business managementBilingual; ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish, French, or other languagesPrior cleaning or janitorial experienceFamiliarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standardsKnowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxingExperience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenanceBenefits
