About the Role
The VP, Energy & Natural Resources Portfolio Management will be responsible for spearheading the strategic oversight and performance of the energy and natural-resources investment portfolio, including oil & gas, renewables, mining, and related infrastructure assets. You will lead portfolio construction, monitoring, and optimization, as well as conducing rigorous financial modelling, scenario analysis, risk assessment, and returns forecasting to support senior leadership decision-making. You will oversee the analysis of market trends, regulatory shifts, commodity cycles and ESG factors to inform asset allocation, investment origination / diligence and divestiture decisions. You will also direct and mentor a portfolio management team, collaborate cross-functionally with investment, operations, legal, compliance and asset-management groups, deliver regular reporting to investors or the executive committee, and ensure alignment of portfolio strategy with the organization's broader strategic and sustainability objectives. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in finance, business administration, economics or a related discipline (MBA preferred) and bring at least 10 years' progressively responsible experience in portfolio management, corporate finance or asset management within the energy, natural-resources or infrastructure sectors. You must demonstrate deep expertise in energy and resource markets, strong financial modelling and valuation skills (including for complex assets such as upstream / downstream oil & gas, mining reserves, renewables), excellent leadership and team-management capabilities, and the proven ability to influence senior stakeholders. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, ESG / sustainability issues in energy / natural-resources, and portfolio-risk controls is essential, along with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
