Your Responsibilities Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting individualized care strategies. Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, working alongside physicians or autonomously as appropriate. Educating patients and their families about preventative measures, health maintenance, and effective disease management. Prescribing medications and therapies within your professional scope. Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Licensing and Certification Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas. Nationally recognized certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or the ability to obtain within 90 days.
