Renown Health is Northern Nevada's largest and only not-for-profit Integrated Health System with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. We are seeking an Acute Neurology Nurse Practitioner to help evaluate, consult, and treat acute Neurology and Stroke patients in our Academic Medical Center and in Reno / Lake Tahoe.

The Acute Neurology NP will be a part of the Stroke Team when on shift and see inpatient Neuro Consults in the hospital. Ideal candidate will be BE / BC and have experience working with stroke patients, responding to stroke codes, and be proficient with the management of neurology patients in the acute setting. Provider is expected to be a team player with a strong work ethic and will work closely with the Stroke Medical Director building the Stroke program.

This is an Employed position with Renown Medical Group. Renown Regional houses The Institute of Neurosciences and is a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and NAEC Level III accredited Epilepsy Center.

Renown's providers foster the teaching of residents and medical students from The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Providers also have access to an established Research Department which provides support to coordinate clinical trials or take the opportunity to conduct research on the university campus.
