Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Accounting Systems Analyst for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Healthcare clients in Newport News, VA .
Responsibilities :
- Complete complex accounting analysis requiring the application of accounting theory independently.
- Monthly preparation and analysis of estimated contractual adjustments, charity and bad debt, the preparation and filing of Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements with independent judgement.
- Preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, Federal / State and Local tax returns, reporting to the state COPN Regulatory Authority, and cost analysis with independent judgement.
- Interpret and communicate federal and state regulations. Manage and assess priorities and deadlines with independent judgement.
- Assess the theoretical integrity of accounting functions performed in the area of responsibility.
- Recommend and implements improvements.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory and taxing agencies, external consultants, auditors, and RHS leadership and administrators
- Other duties as assigned.
