NATURE OF WORK :

Responsible for all engraving duties for the VFW Store, including the design, layout, and processing of orders for name tags, plaques, medals, citations, and Life Member cards. Operates engraving equipment and ensures accuracy and quality in all personalized items.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Design, layout, and produce engraved items such as name tags, plaques, medals, citations, and Life Member cards using PC-based software and electronic engraving equipment.
• Verify order details for accuracy, including spelling and formatting, before engraving.
• Cross-check shipping tickets and confirm customer and membership information using internal software.
• Print and process legacy and online orders through software systems.
• Prioritize and manage multiple engraving tasks daily, including rush orders and high-priority requests from internal departments.
• Select appropriate materials and equipment for each job to ensure efficient processing and avoid errors or material waste.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on engraving machines and related equipment.
• Assemble engraved items and prepare them for shipment.
• Monitor and track engraving materials and supplies; notify the Warehouse Supervisor when reorders are needed in a timely manner.
• Support the Warehouse Supervisor with special projects as assigned.
• Crosstrain and serve as a backup for printing operations in the Supply & Logistics department.
• Participate in Annual physical inventory.
