This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency, performance, and longevity of HVAC systems through proper insulation of ducts, pipes, and mechanical equipment. You will work on commercial projects, applying your technical expertise to maintain energy efficiency, reduce noise, and protect system components. The position requires travel to project sites, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain various types of insulation materials on HVAC systems, ducts, piping, and related mechanical equipment.- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine insulation requirements.- Cut, fit, and secure insulation materials using hand tools, power tools, caulking, sealants, and adhesives.- Operate ladders, scaffolds, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) safely.- Ensure proper sealing of joints and connections to maximize system efficiency.- Inspect completed work to verify compliance with specifications and building codes.- Adhere to safety procedures and use protective equipment to minimize risk in hazardous environments.- Travel to multiple job sites and work in varying conditions, including heights and confined spaces.- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Qualifications- 4 years in HVAC / mechanical insulation or related field experience preferred.- Technical Skills : Proficient in insulation installation techniques, blueprint reading, and use of related tools and equipment.- Certifications : MEWP certification, fall protection certification required or provided- Valid driver's license required.- Physical Requirements : Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and work in diverse weather conditions.- Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
