The Anderson Fire Protection District is accepting applications to fill an open position and develop an eligibility list for the position of Fire Captain. This position requires the applicant to have the ability to meet physical, mental, and other standards established by law or regulation. A full job description is available at the District office.

Minimum Qualifications :

High School Diploma or Equivalent SFT FFI and / or equivalent or completion of an accredited academy SFT FF2 and / or equivalent or completion of an accredited academy Current EMT 1 or higher Certification Current Health Care Provider CPR No Felony Convictions Ability to be NWCG Red Card Qualified Firefighter Type 1 Possession of a valid State of California Class C driver's license with a firefighter endorsement or equivalent Three (3) years of increase responsibility full-time experience in an organized fire department, including at least two (2) years of verifiable full-time experience working as a Firefighter / Engineer in an organized fire department ICS 300 Haz-mat operational Driver operator 1A & 1B or experience equal to and ability to obtain within 1 year

Preferred :

Associate degree in Fire Science or related field of study Previous Captain experience
