Primary Duties :
Promote clinical, operational, and financial excellence within the dental programOversee the delivery of comprehensive dental services, including diagnosis, preventive care, and advanced dental treatmentsDirectly supervise licensed professional dental staff and dental residents and studentsSupport the supervision of auxiliary staffDevelop, review, and update clinical protocols to ensure best practices and evidence-based careEnsure organizational compliance with all regulations, including those by the State Board of DentistryLead quality assurance programs, including peer reviews and patient feedback, to monitor and enhance clinical performanceProvide mentorship and training to dental staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high standards of careCollaborate with the executive team to develop strategic plans for dental services and manage the dental department's budgetCoordinate with other departments and external agencies to integrate dental services into comprehensive patient care plansDevelop and implement community outreach programs to promote oral health educationOther duties as assignedPhysical, Mental and Other Requirements :

Position Summary :
The Chief Dental Officer (CDO) provides clinical and strategic leadership for all dental services within the organization. As a member of the clinical leadership team, the CDO is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, and cost-effective oral healthcare to a diverse, underserved population, including pediatric and special needs populations.
Education :
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited school of dentistrySatisfactory completion of an AGD, GPR, or Pediatric Dentistry residency highly preferred; board certification in Pediatric Dentistry is preferredCertifications :
Licensed (or license-eligible) and in good standing to practice dentistry in the State of TexasDEA and DPS registrationsMaintain current CPR certificationReports To : Chief Clinical Officer
Experience : Minimum of five years in the practice of dentistry. Experience in pediatric or community dentistry preferred. Minimum of two years of clinical leadership experience strongly preferred.
