EKG Technician

Location : VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) - Multiple Sites

Contract Period : Base Year + Three Option Years

Schedule : Full-time, 40 hours per week

Hourly : 31.25 / hr plus 4.93 for Health and Wellness

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and stress tests.
• Assist in monitoring heart rhythms and arrhythmias.
• Set up and maintain EKG equipment for accurate readings.
• Instruct and prepare patients for cardiac monitoring procedures.
• Recognize and report abnormal cardiac patterns to medical staff.
• Maintain patient records and ensure test results are properly documented.
