Occupational Therapist Assistant

Job Description

This contract position is for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The COTA will assist in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, supporting patient functional improvement, documenting progress, and maintaining compliance with facility and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Provide therapeutic interventions as outlined in the occupational therapy care plan.

Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobility training, and functional tasks.

Document patient progress and treatment activities accurately and timely.

Communicate effectively with supervising therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.

Maintain a safe, clean, and patient-focused environment.

Support patients in achieving individualized therapy goals.

Requirements

Active and current state COTA license (must be active prior to start).

Minimum experience : Less than 1 year required.

SNF experience preferred but not required.

Ability to work assigned variable shifts.

Bilingual not required.
