Safety Health and Security Specialist

Overview

Element is hiring a proactive and knowledgeable Safety, Health & Security Specialist to support and advance our organization’s safety culture, regulatory compliance, and risk-management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of professional experience safety, health and / or corporate security functions. This role plays a critical part in protecting our people, assets, and operations while promoting a Zero Harm mindset across all locations.

Responsibilities

Safety and Health

• Implement and maintain safety and health programs in alignment with OSHA, EPA, and applicable local regulations
• Support program development including workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses to identify and mitigate risks
• Support the administrative oversight and data management of safety KPIs, existing safety procedures and established documentation
• Manage the oversight of a safety leadership team supporting the needs of multiple functions within the business
• Help to improve incident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and trend tracking tools
• Coordinate safety training, incident management and safety data sheet safety software as a service venders
• Assist in the development, review, and communication of safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans
• Monitor safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership, highlighting performance, trends, and areas for improvement
