Summary
We are seeking a qualified and caring, reliable full time Registered Dental Assistant / hygiene assistant closer to join our quality -oriented dental practice in Redlands! As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide clinical assistance to the dentist / hygienist during exams and procedures and complete administrative tasks such as charting / scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Dentrix, Open dental, Dexis imaging and Medit / itero digital scanning and has at least two years of experience. If youre friendly, outgoing, and committed to creating a fantastic dental experience, we want to hear from you! Mon 9-6pm, Tues-Thurs 8 : 30-5pm, some Fridays. Our generous compensation package consists of hourly range form $22-28 / hr doe and degree. Opportunity for advancement available with daily, monthly, and yearly bonuses. In addition, we offer continuing educ, CPR, Uniform allowance, possible degree advancement, 5 days pto, vacations, outings, dental care, 401k, profit sharing and pension plan.
Responsibilities :
- Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
- Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
- Take vital signs and accurately record medical history
- Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
- Assist dentist / hygienist during procedures and exams
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
- Schedule appointments
- Perform accurate and timely charting and documentation
- Manage patient flow and ensure a welcoming stress free experience
Qualifications
- Associates Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) state licensure
- Previous experience as a dental assistant
- Current Basic Life Support / CPR certification is required
- Strong computer and data entry skills including typing at high speeds in a high volume environment as a team member
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care and able to multitask and be adaptable to changing priorities and challenges
- Be a problem solver : identify and analyze issues, take responsibility and create solutions
- Reliability and punctual at all times
- Excellent organizational skills and able to prioritize while keeping work area clean and well managed
