Shop Welder Technician 1 Line Bore

Job Summary : The Shop Welder Tech 1 (Line Bore) performs basic welding repairs and fabrication utilizing Holt Caterpillar and AWS Welding Procedures Standards and Codes. Demonstrating competency with a cutting torch air arc and hand addition this position will be introduced to the line bore tooling and process.

The incumbent in this position shall model the following practices daily : 1)Demonstrate alignment with the companys mission and core business values;2)Collaborate with key internal / external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions :

• Models promote and reinforce the consistent use of HOLTs Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision Values and Mission.
• Performs basic welding repairs / fabrication on heavy equipment and components in a shop environment.
• Utilizes layout / fitup tools grinders sanders tape measure blueprints drawings as well as adhering to all welding processes.
• Performs basic carbon arc gouging oxy / acetylene torch cutting / gouging and welding on various types of materials.
• Ensures all welding work is compliant with specific welding codes procedures and quality standards.
• Works overtime as required by workload and customers needs.
• Learns machining capabilities to perform to line-bore components effectively.
• Performs electronic inspection reports using portable electronic devices.
• Searches parts on the computer in SIS and orders parts electronically.
• Accurately prepares technical inspection / service reports documents and any other necessary paperwork to complete the job.
• Assists with the removal and installation of heavy equipment components.
• Performs maintenance on company equipment and tooling associated with their area of job responsibilities.
• Pursues on-going self-development classroom training and on-the-job training.
• Works safely at all times while consistently adhering to company policies procedures and standards internally as well as externally when representing our organization.
• Performs other duties assigned.
