About the Women & Children's Program
The Women & Children program is a voluntary, collaborative program that strives to empower women to build resources and personal skills to break the barriers that come with addiction as individuals, family members, and members of their local community. This program offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, day care services for children under 12, individual and group therapy, case management, peer support services, psychiatry and medicated assisted treatment.
What You'll Do
Complete initial assessment / history on all clients entering treatment.Strategically use assessment information to make an appropriate clinical evaluation of client's current conditions in a timely manner. This includes (but not limited to) making appropriate referrals, consulting with physician, and / or educating the client as appropriate.Educate client and families on symptoms, medications and side effects.Provide a welcoming approach towards all clients, visitors and guests from a trauma informed approach.Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover's designated electronic medical record.Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.Requirements of the Position
Availability to work a Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm schedule.Graduation from an accredited nursing program.Active Missouri license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (or the ability to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of Missouri).At least two (2) years clinical experience in a direct service provision in a mental health setting preferred.Knowledge of the community resources as well as health and social service systems in the Kansas City metro area and skill in establishing working relationships with community partners preferred.Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.Intermediate computer skills in typing / keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as use of email.Grow With Us
