Business Analyst - Mainframe Integration

Job title : Business Analyst / Mainframe Systems SME

Pay rate : $70 / hr

Location : Torrance, CA (4-days on-site per week)

Overview :

Apex Systems is hiring a Business Analyst / Mainframe Systems SME to support one of our top automotive clients. This role will play a key part in the Project, working on critical Parts Applications initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Mainframe Systems SME and partner with Project / Team Managers to deliver enhancements and large-scale projects.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical designs.
• Manage assigned work efforts ranging from ~100-hour enhancements to major project components.
• Execute all phases of the SDLC : requirements gathering, design, coding, testing (unit, integration, system, UAT), implementation, documentation, and warranty support.
• Define architectural solutions that meet application and enterprise requirements.
• Provide timely status updates to Project Managers / Leads.
• Balance workload across analysis / design (30-40%), development / testing / implementation (30-40%), and architecture / solutioning (20-40%).
