We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable (A / P) Clerk to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting the financial operations of our business by ensuring timely, accurate, and well-documented vendor payments. The ideal candidate enjoys maintaining relationships with vendors across diverse industries - from construction suppliers to media firms - and brings a high level of accuracy to their work.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor Setup and Maintenance : Gather and verify tax forms, insurance, licenses, subcontractor agreements, credit applications, and payment terms for new vendors.
  • Invoice Processing : Receive, review, and route vendor invoices for approval by authorized managers.
  • Payment Processing : Issue timely payments to vendors using electronic methods where possible.
  • Compliance and Reporting : Ensure expenditures comply with IRS regulations and are accurately documented.
  • Job Costing : Accurately job cost expenses when applicable.
  • Annual Tax Reporting : Prepare and submit annual vendor-related tax documents (e.g., 1099s).
  • Spending Analysis : Assist with expenditure reporting and analysis for financial planning.

    • Qualifications

  • Experience : 2+ years of accounting, accounts payable, or a relate field; or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Technical Skills : Familiarity with account software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-Oriented : Strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Regulatory Knowledge : Understanding of business expense documentation and IRS compliance.

    • Physical Requirements

  • Work Environment : Office-based role involving extended periods of computer use.
  • Schedule : Standard work week is 40 hours, Monday-Friday during the hours of 7 : 00am to 6 : 00pm. Occasional overtime may be approved based on business needs.

    • 20 - $24 an hour
