Job Overview : The ideal candidate is a team player capable of working independently on compliance and environmental projects at various Navy and US Marine Corps (USMC) facilities. Duties include but are not limited to data entry into a sample tracking / reporting database; documenting field observations; and collecting and documenting the collection of asbestos and lead-based paint samples from various Navy and USMC facilities. The ability to write coherent, detailed reports, summarizing field work performed and conclusions based upon test results and observations is also required. Work is performed primarily at Navy and USMC installations in the San Diego County area, although some out-of-town / overnight travel is also required. In the past, work has been required in El Centro, Yuma, China Lake and Lemoore. Computer experience is required. A four-year science degree is preferred, but not required. Experience with environmental sampling is helpful, but not required.
