Work Location : Onsite - Doral, FL (No telecommuting option)

Clearance : Top Secret (SCI eligible)

Shift : Shift Varies (Supports 24x7 operations)

Responsibilities and Tasks :

• Responsible for systems administration, operations, maintenance, and associated activities of platforms installed throughout the USSOUTHCOM, enterprise.
• Provide Tier 3 system administration support for 24 / 7 operations within the US SOUTHCOM Joint DoDIN Operations Center (JDOC).
• Deploy Operating System, baseline software updates, and third-party updates via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Administer Active Directory : users, groups, objects, forests / trees / domains / child domains, DNS, Group Policy / AGPM, ADFS, AD LDS, etc.
• Administer VMware virtual environments to include ESXi hosts, vCenter appliances, Vsphere, Horizon, VDI, profile unity, and VSANs.
• Responsible for applying security principles, practices, and procedures under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain compliance with applicable security regulations.
• Download, stage and deploy systems-related security policies and updates to maintain information system compliance with DISA security policies and procedures (STIGs, IAVAs, etc.)
• Creates and maintains detailed system documentation.
• Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes.
• Develop scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) to perform recurring systems administration tasks, automate installs, gather metrics, etc.
• Troubleshoots highly complex system hardware and software issues.
• Develops training materials for end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
• Develops implementation plans for software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
• Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Ensures workstation / server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
• Leads efforts to ensure data / media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
• Conducts advanced hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
• Support change management activities and resolve Tier 3 hardware and software problems.
• Coordinate with vendor tier 4 support to troubleshoot issues as required.
• Develops advanced technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
