Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team in El Monte, California. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and supporting essential accounting functions. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the organization's financial integrity through efficient accounts payable and receivable processes.

Responsibilities :

• Accurately process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and expense reports within established deadlines.
• Oversee accounts receivable activities, including cash application, collections, and customer account reconciliation.
• Prepare and post journal entries while reconciling general ledger accounts to support month-end close processes.
• Maintain and update vendor and customer master records in accounting systems.
• Generate detailed aging reports for accounts payable and receivable, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Organize and maintain financial documentation to support audits and compliance requirements.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify variances and improve processes. Requirements - Proven experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger reconciliation.
• Ability to generate and interpret financial reports, including aging reports.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems, with the ability to maintain master data.
• Organizational skills to manage documentation and deadlines efficiently.
• Experience supporting month-end close activities in an environment requiring precision and accuracy.
