CX2 is a next-generation defense technology company founded to deliver spectrum dominance for the United States and our allies. CX2’s AI-enabled hardware and software platforms detect, disrupt and defend the electromagnetic spectrum across land, air, sea and space domains.

Role

We are seeking a full stack software engineer with 3 - 5+ years of experience who is passionate about advancing electromagnetic spectrum capabilities. In this role you will collaborate across hardware and software teams to design, develop, and maintain core software capabilities for our suite of electronic warfare products. As part of CX2’s foundational engineering team, your expertise and creativity will influence how we enhance our core software stack, deepen our engineering culture, and deliver powerful electromagnetic capabilities to the warfighter.

Such electromagnetic capabilities require software that ingests high volume data streams from multiple sensors and platforms, performs low latency data fusion and model inference, and exposes actionable spectrum insights to operators and other systems. To own these projects from inception to deployment, candidates should have strong experience in full-stack development, fluency with cutting-edge tooling and technologies, and a proven ability to ship high-quality products quickly.

  • Communicate with backend microservices that utilize Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ / RabbitMQ, protobuf, gPRC, GraphQL, and Node.js / Express.js.

Foster Continuous Iteration and Improvement

  • Work with users to identify problems, define requirements, and translate concepts into technical solutions.
  • Work with designers, product managers, and other team members to ship functional applications.
  • Provide code review, mentorship, and education to team members.
  • Seek out mentorship from the CX2 team and broader network.
  • Uphold Best Practices

  • Familiarity with geospatial software such as MapBox / MapLibre, Cesium, MapTiler, or ATAK.
  • Proficiency with mobile application development (Android & iOS).
  • Experience developing applications that function offline or do not require constant internet access.
