Summary
Acts as a Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) subject-matter expert and works in coordination with businesses and organizations to conduct community outreach and education to increase awareness of PHEP in the community.
Oversees the safety warden program including developing and revising safety plans, training safety wardens, and completing After-Action Reports (AARs).
Maintains Health Alert Network (HAN) database.
Grant funded.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
NOTE : YOU MUST FILL OUT THE WORK HISTORY and EDUCATION SECTIONS OF APPLICATION TO SHOW YOU HAVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION AS REQUIRED BY HIRING DEPARTMENT OR BE DISQUALIFIED.
TO APPLY , must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher + two (2) full-time years' experience in public health emergency preparedness, emergency management, public health, or community outreach.
TO APPLY , must have an Associate's degree + four (4) full-time years' experience in public health emergency preparedness, emergency management, public health, or community outreach.
TO APPLY , must have a High School diploma or GED + six (6) full-time years' experience in public health emergency preparedness, emergency management, public health, or community outreach.
Possess HAM Radio Technician license or obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments and external community partners.
Knowledge of emergency preparedness and response.
Ability to develop and coordinate trainings.
Must have the ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse socioeconomic and professional backgrounds on all levels including one-on-one and group settings.
Must be organized, have attention to detail, and be able to multitask and work under pressure.
Must be proficient in database management and have the ability to extract and analyze data to generate reports.
Must be proficient in Microsoft programs including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
