Position Summary :
The Stock Clerk is responsible for efficiently handling materials within the warehouse, including picking, counting, packaging, labeling, and managing parts and assemblies in the stockroom. This role ensures accurate inventory control and supports seamless production by maintaining organized stockroom operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and locate parts within the stockroom to fulfill work orders received from production planners.
- Carefully count, package, and label parts to ensure accuracy and proper identification.
- Execute system transactions to remove parts from inventory and record issuance to work orders, maintaining precise inventory records.
- Perform cycle counts as assigned to verify and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Safely move materials within the stockroom, to work cells, or remote stocking locations.
- Lead or assist in company-wide physical inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and organization.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to support overall operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following good housekeeping practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals and efficiency.
Qualifications :
Basic understanding of parts handling and warehousing procedures.Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process numbers and data entry.Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.Prior experience with stockroom operations is preferred but not mandatory.Physical Demands & Work Environment :
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs.Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds occasionally.Exposure to varied weather conditions and factory environment, which may include noise, fumes, and dust.Work may be performed in an air-conditioned or heated office and factory setting, with moderate to high noise levels.
