About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Pharmacy Officer (CPO) to lead the strategic transformation and integration of pharmacy services within the health system. The CPO will be a visionary leader, responsible for the development and promotion of clinical, operational, financial, and patient-focused pharmacy services. This role involves standardizing and optimizing the delivery of pharmacy services, assessing and enhancing the pharmacy team's skills, and guiding the integration of pharmacy with clinical care. The ideal candidate will be a pharmacy subject matter expert, a collaborative change agent, and a builder of infrastructure and teams, with a strong focus on innovation and a culture of accountability.
Key responsibilities for the CPO include maintaining a long-range strategic plan, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the delivery of high-value service standards. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in pharmacy leadership, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and a deep understanding of the healthcare and pharmacy landscape. They must be adept at financial management, and team building, and have a strong background in value-based care. The CPO will also be responsible for the effective financial management of the enterprise pharmacy, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. A Doctor of Pharmacy or Baccalaureate in Pharmacy degree is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive hospital pharmacy management experience.
