Job Overview :
Join our expanding law firm as an litigation attorney! We are a mid-sized law firm, based out of Fort Worth and Burleson. We are looking for a skilled professional with excellent negotiation and organizational abilities to work full-time. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, be a qualified attorney, and possess excellent written communication skills. Trial experience is required.
Duties :
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other resources
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Prepare and present legal arguments
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations
Skills :
Strong research skills with proficiency in Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other legal research toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client representationAbility to negotiate and litigate cases effectivelyProficiency in legal drafting for the preparation of contracts, pleadings, and briefsAttention to detail and strong analytical skills for case analysisAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team of attorneysRequirements :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the state barMinimum of 5 years of experience practicing lawFirst Chair trial experienceStrong knowledge of relevant laws and regulationsWe offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
