Emergency Room Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications preferred

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

ER RN Job Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room, including assessment, triage, and treatment

Respond rapidly and efficiently to medical emergencies

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members

Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in the ER
