Back-up call for NP coverage on weekends

Full-time, 4 weeks per month

Position Overview : This Hematology / Oncology locums assignment is primarily outpatient with hospital-affiliated inpatient rounding for new consults and existing patients. The provider will diagnose and evaluate new patients, order and manage chemotherapy, review diagnostic imaging, oversee infusion treatment, and perform inpatient rounds as needed.

Daily Breakdown / Responsibilities :

Manage outpatient and inpatient hematology / oncology patients

Oversee chemotherapy infusion procedures

Diagnostic imaging review

Collaboration with strong support staff

Setting : Outpatient clinic attached to hospital

EMR : Cerner

Support Staff :

2 Nurse Practitioners

2 Program Coordinators

2 Referrals and Authorization Coordinators

2 MAs

2 Infusion Schedulers

2 RNs for triage calls

Requirements :

Board Certified (highly preferred)

Arizona State License or IMLC (required)

BLS and DEA required

Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w / o US residency with current US work visa.
