About the Role

The Company is seeking a Tax Managing Director for its Private Client Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading tax and consulting engagements, providing executive presence as the primary client contact, and directing communication with government agencies on complex matters. This role requires a critical member of the office / region leadership team who can identify and address client needs, and tax planning and consulting opportunities. The Tax Managing Director will also be involved in expanding their in-depth understanding of tax concepts, prioritizing and reviewing work, and utilizing strong analytical and decision-making skills to assist with client needs. Candidates for the Tax Managing Director position should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field, at least 10 years' of experience in accounting, finance, or law, and expertise in the private client service area. A professional certification such as a CPA, EA, or equivalent is required. The role demands a leader with prior supervisory experience, a strong technical background, and a proven track record in business development. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing and monitoring key performance indicators, and be actively involved in practice matters such as recruitment, staff learning and development, and retention. Additionally, the role requires a candidate with excellent communication, leadership, and people development skills, who is proactive in their own career and technical development and is capable of providing holistic feedback and coaching to others.
