POSITION SUMMARY

Jireh Semiconductor is the wafer fab facility of Alpha and Omega Semiconductor located in Hillsboro, OR. We are looking for an experienced Technical Quality Engineer who will oversee operations needed to ensure high quality outgoing production at Jireh. They will work closely with engineering and manufacturing groups to address internal quality issues detected at IQC, OQC, and reported by assembly. They will also perform root cause analysis and develop response plans when defects or other quality issues are found.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and report on defects at daily morning production meetings.
• Technical lead for both Inline QC and Outgoing QC.
• Interface with Module and Integration to communicate upward trends in defects and assist with defect analyses and root cause determination. Includes performing commonality analyses to identify tools associated with specific defects.
• Interface with external assembly regarding any modified inspections, incoming defect issues, and special communications.
• Monitor and improve Zero Defect program to meet IATF and Automotive Customers expectations and standards.
• As needed, specify requirements for new microscopes to meet production capacity needs without sacrificing quality.
• Update the QC operation specifications as needed.
• Prepare QC for IATF audits. Work with QC Supervisors and Manager to implement audit-requested changes.
• Keep QC FMEAs up-to-date.
• Work with QC Supervisors and Manager to keep Gage R&Rs up-to-date.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Computer time mostly, using different data sets and analyze results. Some microscope inspection to analyze defects.
