Are you a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) seeking a challenging and rewarding inpatient role in cardiothoracic transplant medicine Were looking for a collaborative and driven Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Surgical Heart & Lung Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) team.
This is a high-acuity non-surgical inpatient position ideal for APPs passionate about critical care transplant medicine and providing continuity of care to patients with complex life-saving surgical interventions.
What Youll Do :
Manage post-operative heart and lung transplant patients and ventricular assist device (VAD) recipients across ICU and step-down units
Serve in three core rotating roles :
1. Heart Transplant / VAD APP Floor-based care for heart transplant and VAD patients
2. Lung Transplant APP Management of lung transplant patients
3. ICU / Consult APP Oversight of transplant patients in critical care consults and on pre-op admissions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team including surgical fellows transplant medicine ICU consult teams and ancillary services
Lead and participate in daily patient rounds assessments care coordination and discharge planning
Please Note : No OR time line placements or surgical assisting duties are included in this role

Join a growing APP team of APP 11 providers
Close collaboration with surgical fellows; minimal attending surgeon involvement
Work Schedule : 12.5-hour shifts
Rotating day / night / weekend coverage :
Ideal Candidate Qualifications :
Required :
Active or eligible NP or PA license
Passion for transplant mechanical circulatory support or cardiothoracic surgery
Skilled in managing critically ill high-acuity patients
Strong interpersonal skills teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to lifelong learning and long-term role retention
Preferred :
Clinical experience in :
ICU step-down CT surgery transplant or VAD programs
New graduate APPs welcomeespecially those with prior RN experience in ICU or transplant
Completion of board certification exams strongly preferred

Base Pay Scale : Generally starting at $89.01 - $117.94 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
