This role is a float position with regular float responsibilities to our clinics in Minneapolis and Edina. Responsibilities include :
Assisting physicians and clinicians with patient care dutiesPromoting efficient patient flow and patient carePerforming clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physicians scheduleSupporting and adhering to the US Oncology Compliance ProgramEscorts patients to and from exam roomsRecords patient data prior to each physician visitPrepares and stocks exam / treatment rooms and orders supplies as neededAssists physicians with exams and proceduresAdministers subcutaneous and intramuscular injectionsMaintains all exam / treatment room disinfection protocolsAnswers patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse / pharmacistPhones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as directed by physicians and RNInforms physician of patient reschedules and no showsPerforms other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing faxing, chart preparation, reception, etc., as requested by supervisor or physicianSalary Level : $21.50-$30.00 / hour
Qualifications :
Medical Assistant - Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant ProgramCurrent CPR Certification is RequiredCurrent Certified MA or Registered MA is Preferred (must be willing to obtain certification / registration within 6 months of hire)2-3 Years of Experience Preferred, Oncology Experience HelpfulClinical Assistant - Current CPR Certification is Required2-3 Years of Experience Preferred, Oncology Experience HelpfulOne of the Following is Required :Diploma or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant ProgramEmergency Medical Technician (EMT)Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with 1 year direct care experiencePhysical Demands :The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
