Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Endoscopy - GI / E

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8 or 10-hour Day Shifts (7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM or 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Required to submit license for the role

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

Must-Have : Must be comfortable providing sedation, with a preference for experience in administering propofol.

Job Description :

• Work in the Endoscopy department, assisting in both Pre / Post-Endo Care and Endo Intra-Operative units.
• Participate in patient preparation, including IV starts, room setup, and provider communication.
• Provide patient education and sedation for procedures such as upper / lower endoscopies, colonoscopy screenings, EGDs, and PEG tube placements; excluding bronchoscopies and ERCPs.
• Join a team with a split between Pre / Post-Endo Care Unit and Intra-Operative care.
• Pre / Post-Operative Ratios are 1 : 3; Intra-Operative care staffed with 2 RNs and 1 tech per room, reducing to 1 RN and 1 Tech when anesthesia is present.
• Collaborate with an innovative call team to cover weeknight and weekend calls, ensuring coverage across specific campuses.
• Fulfill call requirements, including one weekend every tenth week; call response goal within 30 minutes.
• Adhere to a professional dress code, with scrubs provided during the orientation.
• Orientation includes three days with a preceptor in a department known for its supportive and family-oriented atmosphere.
• Ensure adherence to facility location guidelines with specified radius rules for the area.
