The Planning / Scheduling Manager will report to the Vice President of Operations.
Job Summary
The Planning & Scheduling Manager (PSM) is a critical role that oversees and manages company-wide production schedules. The role will manage schedules and delivery priorities across all product lines and develop master schedules based on customer priorities, utilizing applicable company business systems.
The PSM will distribute, communicate, track and manage schedules alongside Production Leadership and Engineering. The roles requires a strong customer-focus and will strive for disruption-free production / project flow and on-time delivery every day.
This role is an integral contributor to the Safety-Quality-Cost-Delivery data across the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the scheduling and planning efforts for the entire facilities operations.
- Monitor performance-to-schedule on a real-time basis and oversee all applicable delivery metrics.
- Develop, publish, and maintain production schedules, balancing inventory, resources & capacity. Negotiate actions to adjust schedules when dictated by operational changes.
- Act as liaison between Production, Tooling, Engineering, Automation, Purchasing, & Sales to control the production schedule.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to monitor the status of projects to ensure customers are communicated with, as well as other stakeholders such as those scheduled to install the products when they are delivered on-site.
- As a critical member of EP2’s management team, coach, mentor and train / develop others in the areas of schedule attainment, management and performance as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement and productivity in all tasks / processes.
- Work outside of normal parameters when necessary by altering schedules to meet unforeseen conditions when necessary.
Requirements : Qualifications
Excellent computer skills (ERP platforms, MS Office, other desktop applications).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven experience as a supervisor, manager or relevant role.Ability to lead without direct authority.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team player.Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.Ability to collaborate with other teams and team members.Physical Requirements
Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer.Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly.Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
