This position will provide first aid and nursing care services to persons served in the agency and training to staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provide basic and emergency first aid and nursing care services to persons served in the agency and training to staff.
• Develop and monitor the medication administration system to ensure medications are administered as prescribed and properly documented.
• Develop and monitor Risk, Health and Wellness plans for persons served.
• Teach classes in CPR, First Aid, Infection Control, Back Safety, and other related medical / safety subjects to staff as directed.
• Screen questions and referrals concerning the health needs of persons served and relay to appropriate physician when appropriate.
• Provide counseling to persons served / families regarding nutrition, hygiene, medications, medical conditions, etc. as requested
• Ensure that persons entering services have met medical clearance entry standards.
• Maintain accurate health / medication / nursing records on persons served.
• Utilize software database to accurately and consistently document consumer information and services provided as necessary to meet agency requirements
