Psychologist / LPA

CommuniCare is a nationally accredited behavioral health agency with over 25 years of service to children, adolescents, and adults in Cumberland County and surrounding areas. We provide a continuum of care that includes psychological testing, clinical assessments, juvenile court evaluations, outpatient therapy, and community-based behavioral health interventions.

Salary is contengient upon education, experience, credentials and licensure status.

Primary Responsibilities :

Conduct psychological, psychoeducational, and diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults.

Administer, score, and interpret a broad range of standardized psychological tests (e.g., cognitive, achievement, adaptive, behavioral, personality, and diagnostic tools).

Prepare clear, comprehensive, and timely written evaluation reports.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide professional consultation to treatment teams, courts, schools, and other referral sources.

Provide diagnostic impressions and recommendations that inform individualized treatment and service plans.

Maintain accurate, ethical, and confidential documentation consistent with NC Board standards and agency policies.

Ensure compliance with Medicaid, MCO, and NC DHHS documentation and billing standards.

Doctorate (PhD / PsyD) in Clinical, Counseling, or Master's degree with North Carolina Licensure as a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA).

Active, unrestricted license with the NC Psychology Board.

Demonstrated experience in psychological testing and report writing for children, adolescents, and adults.

Familiarity with DSM-5-TR, evidence-based assessment tools, and NC Medicaid or MCO requirements preferred.

Strong communication, analytical, and professional judgment skills.

Preference for : Background in forensic or court-ordered evaluations, juvenile justice assessments, or multidisciplinary evaluation teams.

Experience collaborating with schools, DSS, or behavioral health agencies.
