We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Cayce, South Carolina. This role involves overseeing payroll operations for a diverse workforce while ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations. Responsibilities :

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a workforce of approximately 364 employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Process weekly payroll operations, including reviewing and approving timesheets.
  • Handle multi-state payroll requirements, including compliance for employees in Wisconsin and North Carolina.
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to execute payroll tasks efficiently and maintain accurate records.
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring proper setup in payroll systems.
  • Collaborate with HR to address payroll-related inquiries and provide necessary documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards related to payroll and reporting.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll data, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with HR-related tasks as needed, gaining exposure to broader HR processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing for medium to large-sized organizations.
  • Proficiency in multi-state payroll operations, including familiarity with Wisconsin and North Carolina regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS payroll systems.
  • Strong ability to manage payroll for over 500 employees while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Exposure to HR processes, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to address payroll issues and interact with team members.
