Role :  Slalom Flex (Project Based) – Technical Project Manager

Location :  Denver Metro Area

  • Please note :   This role is  not  eligiblefor remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Denver metro area

What You’ll Do

  • Understand the client’s business challenges to craft effective solutions that address the people, process, technology, and data needs of our clients to achieve their desired outcomes
  • Manage scope, requirements, resources, time, cost, quality, risks, and communications in various project delivery methodologies
  • Design and conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results, and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner
  • Proactively identify risks and anticipated points of resistance; develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns
  • Work on projects independently, participate as a team member, or lead teams of consultants and / or clients during buildout
  • Support the Business Requirements intake process on behalf
  • Partner with Business and IT leadership during project intake to review intake queue and action as needed
  • Once initiative is approved, create the project within ServiceNow and Jira
  • Partner with the IT Product Manager to deliver the initiative from inception to production delivery
  • Coordinate with testing and release management teams to plan for capacity and timing of testing & production release
  • Act as a communications bridge between IT team and non-technical stakeholders, translating requirements into actionable technical tasks
  • What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years of technical project management experience
  • Consulting experience – the ability to hit the ground running as a Technical Project Manager
  • Experience managing low-to-medium size complex projects (in terms of budget, schedule, scope, risk, integrations); ideally bring experience in various delivery methodologies
  • Fluent in both waterfall and agile software development
  • A strong understanding of Jira
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels including extensive presentation development and delivery, as well as business and technical writing; has contributed to executive-level communications
  • Ability to facilitate effective decision making when differing opinions occur
  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders beyond direct teammates or clients

    Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $55 to $63 / HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
