The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for profitable growth of the crane businesses within Marmon Crane Services which includes the identification and successful acquisition of new customers, growth of existing customer accounts as well as acquisition target identification, purchase execution and integration of companies within the Crane Sector globally

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute a Strategic Marketing Map for MCS i.e. the broad strategyfor growth of the crane sector that includes both organic and inorganic sources of profitable growth.

Manage current portfolio of customers and provide ongoing evaluation of opportunities to grow and improve profitability.

Oversee all major bid reviews (i.e. >

5.0 MM) across the Sector by ensuring :

Financial metrics are met or exceeded,

Contract Terms and Conditions meet MCS contracting objectives.

Drive Voice of Customer (VOC) process for MCS

Develop analysis of opportunities within existing markets for new customer acquisition

Analyze and identify opportunities for geographic and vertical market expansion.

Collaborates with business unit leadership, Sector and Corporate resources to deliver analysis of acquisition targets for review by senior leadership

Develop and manages the capabilities of the Global team of Business Development professionals (Selling Skills, Negotiation Skills, Pricing methodologies etc.)

Manage the sales forecasting process utilizing MCS Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools available.

Develop the key Business Development inputs for MCS Sector Budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business or a related / equivalent field.

Extensive demonstratedcommercial leadership experience in the crane, construction or related industries.

Extensive experience working with large industrial customers in the following vertical markets :

Oil & Gas (upstream, midstream or downstream),

Petrochemicals

Mining

Power generation (conventional or renewable)

Industrial / infrastructure

Merger and acquisition experience with deals up to $100 Million USD (preferred).

Individual must have the ability to travel up to 75 % throughout NorthAmerica, Australia and occasionally Europe / Asia.
